Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. They offer an added benefit or effect when the equipment in use. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as an incentive, or even created using crafting materials. In addition to offering attribute bonuses upgrades can also be cosmetically beneficial.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are all types of upgrade component. They aren't generally available for general use, and are only available to ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be retrieved from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade items, can be exchanged and reused while still attached to the item that is being upgraded. These upgrade items can be used to improve the quality of armor and weapon, without spending Dilithium. They can double the chance that the item will be upgraded to a top quality upgrade.
Upgrade components can be added to an item however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and Ascended equipment). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or greater can include upgrade components them. The addition of an upgrade to an existing weapon equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the new item in the same way as it appears in the game (for example adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs

Glyphs can be an excellent accessory to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes an item has, which increases its power. These glyphs can be obtained through dungeons, and some be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can't be used on a character that hasn't created an dungeon with a root of the same size.
To make use of a Glyph you first need to create it with components and then connect them via anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can use an array of paths and anchors. Drag an element close to a component highlighted to snap it in place.
item upgrader have conditions to meet, such as having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to activate and can be a challenge to attain. Some glyphs have a radius, which increases as you move it up.
Glyphs can be found on many different items, and are added to any weapon, except for the weapons of a particular class. Some of these glyphs have additional requirements, like an amount of damage to Dexterity or Attack damage for a specific part of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph gives you a 5% chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has a 15% chance to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that can be applied to tools with limited-use capabilities, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most common glyphs in the game are the attack glyphs that increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed amount. These glyphs are especially beneficial for classes that use weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph renders enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll the results rolled while taking an Action. They are destroyed when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens are available in a variety of ways, like raids and dungeons, or by participating in skirmishes. You can also buy them in the shops or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards at the end of the chest.
For items in the range of 1, there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a specific amount of points each time you recycle an item. This value is based on the rarity of the item and its level. The upgraded item will not keep its level when rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item rises when its level increases.
Alternately, players can use reroll tokens in order to reroll an upgrade item however this will not return the item to its original state or provide the original stats. This is useful for players who want to reroll a piece of equipment they don't love but want to keep in their collection.
Three different kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level to create an item of that quality.
To make use of rerolling tokens choose "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select the type of token you want to use. The tokens that are available include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. Using an Item token will create the creation of a new Item of any quality. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon belonging to the same faction.
There is also a possibility that the item could be upgraded into a new item with more level and same additional stats. This could happen if the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of an Franchise Card.
